About

Hello, and welcome! I’m Dr. Dyan Connelly, a licensed clinical psychologist committed to helping people heal, grow, and build more fulfilling lives and relationships. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, insomnia, and interpersonal and relational challenges. Many of the people I work with are looking to break free from old patterns, develop greater emotional insight, communicate more openly, and feel more at ease in their own skin. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley—one of the nation’s top programs—where I trained with leading experts and conducted research on emotional connection in romantic relationships across the lifespan: what brings us closer, and what pushes us apart. I completed my predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, receiving advanced training in evidence-based treatment for trauma and related concerns. I believe the space between people is where meaning lives. It’s in the way we listen, care, show up, and engage with one another. This conviction guides my work, grounding research-informed strategies in a therapeutic relationship that offers safety, understanding, and honest reflection, so that healing is not just possible, but sustainable. My approach is warm and affirming, professional yet relatable, with a bit of humor to make the hard work of growth feel more approachable. Starting therapy can feel daunting, but you’re worth the effort. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to explore what healing and growth can look like for you, I’d be honored to be in your corner. Let’s connect for a free consultation to see how we can work together to support the life and relationships you want.
